Give An Hour Of Your Time

Our work depends on consistent and committed volunteerism. Adena Brook Community is made up of generous, active, aware, and caring people. We each have different skills to contribute. We are neighbors first as well as teachers, business owners and employees, city workers, doctors, lawyers, mothers and fathers, grandparents, children, technicians, librarians, and environment specialists. Some months a few come out to work, other times we are a large group. We are busy but not too busy to pencil in our calendars an hour to give. We enjoy being in the woods working together. We've learned that people support what they create and act responsibly when they care.

There's no need to call, just join us Second Saturdays, February through November from 9 – 11 AM. Supplies such as bags, gloves, and litter grabbers are located in two places: the intersection of Yaronia and Overbrook (off Indianola Avenue) and the intersection of Canyon and Overbrook (off High Street).

Land Donations

Conservation land easement is a way to leave a legacy and preserve Adena Brook.

A conservation easement is a restriction placed on a piece of property to protect its associated resources. The easement is either voluntarily donated or sold by the landowner and constitutes a legally binding agreement that limits certain types of uses or prevents development from taking place on the land in perpetuity while the land remains in private hands. Conservation easements protect land for future generations while allowing owners to retain many private property rights and to live on and use their land, at the same time potentially providing them with tax benefits.
